Owen turns 6 weeks today - wahoo! Time sure flies when you become a parent. Owen continues to entertain us daily. He has started balding on the top of his head. In fact, almost the entire upper half of his head is bald. He reminds us of a little old man. He has also started to fill out - there are visible rolls on his thighs & arms and he has a little double chin. It is so precious - I love babies with a little meat on their bones! His cheeks are also getting fuller and Rick loves to pinch them. :)
He has become more "smiley" - no real smiles yet, though. He smiles after he eats and when he's going to the bathroom, which is basically when he's gassy. However, he does "half smiles" sometimes long after he's eaten so we know it's not gas. We're hoping for a real smile any day now.
He is also a very curious baby. He does not like to miss out on anything. When he's awake his eyes are open wide and he looks around at everything. He also does not like to nap during the day. He will be extremely tired with his eyes shutting involuntarily and he will do everything in his power to keep himself awake. Silly baby.
On a sad note, my baby is growing like a weed. He has officially outgrown some of his newborn sized clothing. Yesterday I had to put away my favorite pair of his pajamas because they're too small. It was a sad day. Can't he just stay this size forever? On the other hand, the next size up of his clothes offers some very cute outfits so that helps ease the pain.
FYI - For those interested, Owen will be blessed on Sunday October 12 (my birthday!) at 11 a.m.

I love the new pictures, in one of the bottom ones he looks sooo much like Rick! He is still super cute even without the hair! Isn't it funny how they lose all their hair? April's twins BOTH lost the hair on the top of their heads, and Clark had long dark hair on the bottom and the sides, so I can definitely see why you think he looks like a little old man :) Still darling tho! :)
Aww 6 weeks already:) Gesh time sure does fly!! I wish i could come to his blessing:( but Im hoping that you'll have some free time while im down there so i can pop in a see mr owen, he will be so big by then!!!
The time does fly! He is so dang cute and still looks TINY to me!
Owen is so cute! I totally bought that stripped outfit for my nephew! You have great fashion sense! haha
