Trigger Thumb Update

Owen went for his post-op check and his thumb is healing nicely.  He doesn't have to wear his "cast" anymore and was [finally] able to take a bath last night.  Here are a few photos of his wound as it has been healing.  They are not for the squeamish.

It's amazing how just a few days can show so much improvement in the healing process.  They used dissolving stitches so he doesn't have to get anything removed.  (YAY!) We got back in 2 weeks so the doctor can check the mobility of his thumb.  So far, so good.

All is Well

Owen did GREAT with his trigger thumb surgery yesterday. He doesn't seem to be in any pain and is acting completely normal.  He really wants to take his bandages off, but he's been good about keeping them on.  I'm so excited that he'll be able to have full use of his thumb and right hand again!

Michelle's Baby Shower

This weekend we had a baby shower for my sister Michelle while she was in town from Hawaii.  It was so fun to see family and friends, eat good food, and look at all of the cute girly baby stuff!!

The morning of Owen's birthday he was so excited!  The day before we took him to the donut shop to pick out a special birthday breakfast donut. We spent the rest of the day at the beach and then had a bonfire that night, complete with s'mores.  Owen kept saying, "It's my burfday time! I free now!"
