Finger Paintin' Fun

Now that Owen's getting a little older, I can bust out my preschool teacher skills and do some fun activities with him.  Yesterday I decided to attempt finger painting with pudding.  It's super easy to make, super fun to do, and yes, super messy.  Owen went straight to the bathtub when he was finished.

Daddy thought it looked like so much fun, he decided to join in on the action.

LB Aquarium

A few weeks ago we decided to take Owen to the Aquarium of the Pacific.  We know he loves fish since he's had his love affair with Finding Nemo, so we thought it would be a fun activity.  Needless to say, Owen had a blast.  He loved every minute of it and ran from tank to tank looking at all of the fish.

We'll definitely be visiting again soon.

4th of July

Delicious American flag fruit pizza made by Tawny

Our 4th of July started out great.
We had great food and great company.

Our night almost ended on a sour note when the "booms" (fireworks) began.
Poor baby...

But luckily we found refuge inside Grandma's house and watched the fireworks from there.
Maybe next year the loud noises won't be so scary.

CA Open House

After we got back from our road trip, we had about a week to get ready for Jonathan and Rachael's Open House reception.  I decided to make cake pops for favors and also put myself in charge of making a bridal bouquet for Rachael, as well as multiple flower arrangements for around the house.  It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun.

I made his boutonniere but you can't really see it very well in this picture.
And I failed to get my own picture of Rachael's bouquet.... woops.

Las Vegas

On our drive back home from Utah, we stayed in Vegas for a night.  Rick decided that he needed some father/son bonding time, so he and Owen played a few video games in the arcade.  They both had a great time and even earned enough tickets to get some prizes.

The Loot

We also saw the lions at the MGM Grand.  We just happened to see them during feeding time, so it was an extra exciting adventure for us.

Utah Trip

Here are a few more pictures from Rachael and Jonathan's wedding.
It was pouring down rain, but nothing could upset this happy couple.
Isn't that ceiling AMAZING?  This at their reception, which was here.

After my brother's wedding, we stayed in Utah a few extra days to visit with family and friends.

Here is a picture of Owen and most of his second cousins from the Andersen family.  They had a very fun and busy day playing together.

We were also fortunate enough to visit my long-time BFF GLORIA, her husband Kyle, and their son McKennan.  It was so good to see them and visit in person.  They are moving to HAWAII in a week or so and we are sure going to miss them.  (Although I definitely think we should go visit them!)  Gloria and I have been friends since we were about 12 years old and we always have a good time together.  Luckily our husbands get along just as well as we do!  And now we both have little boys about a year apart, so they're basically destined to be good buddies.
